About Noreen McKenna of Natural Midwives.


Her philosphy is to encourage you to have a low intervention and gentle undisturbed birth. But will continue to support you if your pregnancy becomes more medical.

Noreen cares for women right through pregnancy, she is on call during delivery, and offers post-natal care for 4- 6 weeks at your home.

She supports natural birth philosophy but she is skilled and experienced in handling births needing medical interventions. Noreen specializes in the care of women who want a vaginal birth after a previous c/section section.

Noreen recognise pregnancy and birth this is a very special time in the life of a woman and she aims to  work closely with her and her family/whanau.

Noreen says "I hope to enhance the birth experience through knowledgeable, research based practice and a caring, holistic approach. "

Noreen works at Waterbirths, Homebirths, Waitakere Hospital and Birthcare Parnell plus within Auckland Hospital if a more medical birth presents itself.
