He then returned to Auckland where he joined National Women’s Hospital sharing his time equally between clinical practice as an obstetric specialist and academic teaching and research at the University of Auckland as an Associate Professor. His clinical time at National Women’s was as head of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine department, a unit specialising in major complications of pregnancy. In 1996 he brought these skills into private obstetrics.

Over the last 16 years Neil has enjoyed providing one to one individualised care, to women having normal and complicated pregnancies and births. He delivers 3 -4 babies a week and has been present for more than 95% of the births of the women who book with him.

Neil enjoys delivering 1:1 care to expectant couples. He is proud to bring his enormous experience in order to provide the best possible outcome for you and your new baby. He is expert at normal birthing but it is great to know that he can deal with complications as well if forceps, ventouse or caesarean section were required.
