ANTENATAL CLASS · Options
With over 30 years supporting families, HolisticBaby Antenatal classes are Midwife-led, evidence-based, and trusted by Mums, Midwives & Obstetricians.Â
In this course you will learn:
At HolisticBaby, holistic means caring for the whole person—not just preparing for birth, but supporting your physical, emotional, and practical wellbeing as you become a parent.
Our classes are midwife-led and grounded in years of clinical experience, combining evidence-informed education with compassionate, personalised support. Rather than telling you there's one "right" way to give birth, we help you understand your options so you can make informed decisions that feel right for you and your family.
Every pregnancy, birth, and baby is unique. Our goal is to help you feel calm, confident, and prepared, so you can discover your own strengths and approach birth with knowledge, balance, and trust in yourself.
Whether you're planning a natural birth, an epidural, a planned caesarean, or simply keeping an open mind, you'll receive balanced information and practical tools to help you have the best birth experience possible—for you.
Antenatal Class — Birth Prepare, Birth Ready & Beyond
True birth preparation goes beyond the physical. This class helps you explore your expectations and any concerns around pregnancy, birth, and becoming a parent — so you can move forward with clarity and calm.
Birth Prepare — Mind & Body
Learn about the roles of your Lead Maternity Carer, midwife, obstetrician or GP. Explore practical tools including acupressure techniques, optimal baby positioning, relaxation and breathing exercises to support an easier birth experience — whether natural or medical.
Birth Ready — Know What to Expect
Understanding what labour and birth actually look like removes the fear of the unknown. We cover the stages of labour, elective caesarean birth, pain relief options (natural and medical), and what your midwife recommends in the lead-up to birth. You'll also learn what happens immediately after birth — skin-to-skin contact, delayed cord clamping, postnatal checks, and those precious first hours with your baby.
Mood, Milk & Baby Love — Your Fourth Trimester
The essentials of breastfeeding, newborn care, bathing, dressing, and nappy changes. Honest guidance on what actually helps in that first week. You'll leave feeling emotionally supported and ready for those first days with your baby, and we'll set up a community group so you stay connected with other parents on the same journey.
