Antenatal Classes — Prepare, Learn & Feel Confident

Feeling informed and prepared before your baby arrives makes all the difference. These classes cover everything you need to know — from birth preparation through to your first weeks at home with your newborn.

Antenatal Class — Birth Prepare, Birth Ready & Beyond
True birth preparation goes beyond the physical. This class helps you explore your expectations and any concerns around pregnancy, birth, and becoming a parent — so you can move forward with clarity and calm.

Birth Prepare — Mind & Body Learn about the roles of your LMC, midwife, obstetrician, and GP, alongside practical tools including acupressure techniques, optimal baby positioning, and relaxation and breathing exercises to support an easier birth experience — whether natural or medical.

Birth Ready — Know What to Expect Understanding what labour and birth actually look like removes the fear of the unknown. We cover the stages of labour, elective caesarean birth, pain relief options (natural and medical), and what your midwife recommends in the lead-up to birth. You'll also learn what happens immediately after birth — skin-to-skin contact, delayed cord clamping, postnatal checks, and those precious first hours with your baby.

Mood, Milk & Baby Love — Your Fourth Trimester The essentials of breastfeeding, newborn care, bathing, dressing, and nappy changes — plus honest guidance on what actually helps in that first week. You'll leave feeling emotionally supported and ready for those first days with your baby, and we'll set up a coffee group so you stay connected with other parents on the same journey.

Feedback

"I felt like so much of the Antenatal class education we received focussed on the birth. But this class opened my eyes. I had no idea how I was going to support my wife in the days after we came home and what having a new baby in the house would be like." So helpful!

New Dad, Ben

Cathy's vast knowledge, easygoing nature and ability to answer even the silliest questions without making us feel useless, helped us a lot, particularly during those overwhelming first weeks. The most valuable thing Cathy taught us was to trust our instinct. As new parents we were overwhelmed with information, which was sometimes conflicting. It turns out we knew all along what was best for us and our baby, by following our gut instinct!"

Pregnancy & postnatal yoga — over 20 years of care
Pregnancy is a special time in your life. The growing life inside your womb influences your body, mind and soul in every way. Through gentle Hatha Yoga postures, your body gains flexibility and openness — and your mind becomes calmer and more focused.
Strengthening through yoga minimises common pregnancy issues like sciatica, lower back pain, rib pain and lower stomach discomfort. The way you breathe during labour is the main key to staying focused and tuning in with your body — the body wisdom that already knows how to birth a baby.
These classes are more than exercise. They're a place to reconnect, trust your body, and let go of anxiety. Suitable for all levels — even if you've never done yoga before.
